Introducing Singer/Songwriter Skyler J. Burrus
Sky wrote and released his first song at dinner yesterday entitled "Cheese on the Old Banjo." Mom wrote down the refrain carefully so he could expand on it further at a later date (lyrics reprinted below). He actually came up with quite a catchy little tune. Sky claimed it was by the Beatles but after further review of their anthology, nothing of this ilk was found. It appears to be an original with possible overtones by the Beatles or Wings -- who are, of course, Sky's biggest influences.
"It's about rotten cheese, Mommy," says the budding musician and lyricist on his inspirations for the tune.
His parents are thrilled with the little entertainer. Proud Mom Caryn says, "Didn't Mozart get his start when he was three?"
Slightly skeptical Dad Hayden grumbled, "I guess now he'll be wanting music lessons or something."

I sat down.
The french fries were ready.
Cheese on the old banjo.
Cheese on the old banjo-oh.
Cheese on the old banjo.
